The guidance here is general, not advice

This website explains how tax, company formation, employment and immigration work in Indonesia in general terms. It is not advice on your situation, and it cannot be, because we do not know your situation until you tell us.

Two companies in the same industry can face different obligations because of their licence classification, their ownership, their turnover or where they operate. Please do not act on a page here without checking how it applies to you — with us, or with another qualified adviser.

Rules change, and pages have dates

Indonesian regulation changes often, sometimes with little notice. Every article on this site carries the date it was last reviewed and, where one applies, the regulation it is based on. A page that was correct on its review date may have been overtaken since.

We correct pages when we find they have gone out of date, but we cannot promise that every page reflects the position on the day you read it.

Reading this site does not make you a client

No professional relationship is created by reading these pages, by sending an enquiry, or by booking an introductory call. An engagement begins only when we have agreed the work in writing and both sides have signed. Until then, nothing you send us is covered by professional confidentiality in the way a client's information is, so please do not send anything sensitive in a first message.

Where we link to a regulator, a ministry or another source, we do it so you can check the original. Those websites are not ours: we do not control their content and we are not responsible for what they say or do.

Our material

The writing, drawings and design on this site belong to PT Hayat Jasa Profesional and PT MAM Professional Solutions (together, MAM Corporate Solutions). You are welcome to read it, print it, and quote a short passage with a link back. You may not republish substantial parts of it, or present it as your own work, without asking us first.

Other organisations' names and marks that appear here — professional bodies, software providers, clients — belong to them, and are shown to identify a relationship, not to claim ownership.

To the extent the law allows, MAM Corporate Solutions is not liable for loss arising from a decision taken on the strength of a page on this website without advice. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and it does not affect the terms of a signed engagement, which govern the work we do for clients.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by Indonesian law, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jakarta.
