Start earlier than feels necessary
The most common problem is not a refusal. It is timing.
The sequence takes longer than most employers expect, the steps cannot be run in parallel, and a start date agreed with a candidate before the process begins is a date that usually moves. Begin at offer stage, not at acceptance.

What do you need from the employer and the employee to start?
The sponsor company's documents and the employee's personal documents — passport copy, photograph and bank statements. The company documents include the deed (akta), the ministerial approval and an online visa account with the immigration office, where we are not acting as sponsor ourselves.
Do you handle the family's dependant permits at the same time?
Yes, at an additional cost.
What happens at renewal, and how far ahead should we start?
In the ordinary course a renewal is quick — where nothing has changed, within about a week.
If the employee resigns or is dismissed mid-permit, what happens?
We need to know why, and whether the departure is agreed between both sides, because that changes what has to be done. We also need the last working day, so the final payroll, the tax recalculation and any severance or compensation due can be worked out correctly.
